LONDON, Oct. 21, 2025 – Boeing [NYSE: BA] has named the Rt Hon Sir Jeremy Quin as the new president of Boeing UK & Ireland. Sir Jeremy will be based in London and takes up his position on November 21, with responsibility for Boeing’s operations and strategy across the UK and Ireland. He succeeds Maria Laine who was recently appointed Boeing Defense, Space & Security’s Leader for Business Capture and Operations.

“Sir Jeremy’s deep expertise across the defence industry, coupled with his commercial acumen, will help advance Boeing’s operations in the UK and Ireland and support our largest supply chain base outside the United States,” said Brendan Nelson, president of Boeing Global.

Previously, Sir Jeremy was a UK Member of Parliament from 2015 to 2024 and served as a government minister in the Cabinet Office, Home Office and Ministry of Defence. He was Chair of the House of Commons Defence Select Committee in 2024, and most recently an advisor to the current UK Government’s Strategic Defence Review, published in June. Before entering politics, he worked in corporate finance for 25 years, including as a managing director of Deutsche Bank.

“Boeing has a long and successful partnership with the UK and Ireland,” said Sir Jeremy Quin. “It is a privilege to be joining such a highly skilled and experienced team with a history of driving innovation across aerospace. I look forward to building on this proud legacy, growing our business, and most importantly working to ensure we meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.”

In addition to Sir Jeremy’s appointment, Thom Breckenridge has been named as managing director of Boeing Defence UK (BDUK). Based in Bristol, Breckenridge will oversee more than 2,100 Boeing teammates across its UK defence services business. He succeeds Steve Burnell, who will retire at the end of October after successfully leading BDUK for the past three years.

With over two decades of experience at Boeing, Breckenridge most recently directed the company’s government services business in Asia. He has also held various international defence sales and strategic partnership roles for Boeing across Europe, India, the Middle East and East Asia.

As a leading global aerospace company, Boeing develops, manufactures, and services commercial airplanes, defense products and space systems for customers in more than 150 countries. The company leverages the talents of a global supplier base to advance economic opportunity, sustainability, and community impact. Boeing has a UK workforce of 3,600 people, including career starters, veterans and reserves across the country and is the largest supply chain base outside the United States, with more than £15 billion spent since 2015 across a network of over 970 domestic suppliers.
