Boeing Bolsters Ireland Presence with New Dublin Office

  • New Dublin hub supports Boeing Ireland’s key global engineering and leasing activities
  • Builds upon more than 60 years of in-country partnership, with Boeing Ireland workforce growing significantly over past decade

DUBLIN, Ireland, Dec. 12, 2025 — Boeing [NYSA: BA] today opened a new hub in Dublin, to support the growth of Boeing Ireland. The office at Dublin Airport was officially opened by Minister for Transport, Darragh O’Brien TD.

“I am delighted to mark the opening of the new Boeing Ireland hub at Dublin Airport,” said Minister for Transport, Darragh O’Brien TD. “In Ireland, we have a proud history of innovation in aviation, and Boeing has played a central role in the development of the Irish aviation industry.”

“Today’s event not only illustrates the continued strong growth of the Irish aviation industry, but also clearly demonstrates Boeing’s continued commitment to investing in the future of Irish aviation,” continued the Minister of Transport. “The strong connection between Ireland and Boeing highlights the enduring importance of the transatlantic trading relationship, which supports our economy and people, helping to shape the future of aviation internationally.”

The Dublin Airport office brings together Boeing Ireland’s team of more than 100 employees, who support commercial design and modification engineering, field service operations, and sales and marketing support for global customers, including the extensive Irish lessor community.

“Over the past year, we have increased our engineering headcount by more than 30 percent,” said Joseph O’Malley, Dublin site leader, Boeing Ireland. “With additional growth planned in 2026, we are looking to expand our workforce in support of our primary structure, interior and airplane connectivity modification work.”

The opening of the new Dublin hub follows Boeing’s acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems in Belfast on Dec. 8. The Belfast site, now operating as an independent subsidiary, Short Brothers, a Boeing Company, adds 2,400 new employees to Boeing’s regional workforce.

“Our deep partnership with Ireland spans more than 60 years and the opening of our new office cements our commitment to supporting our growing workforce and the wider Irish aerospace sector,” said Jeremy Quin, President of Boeing Ireland & UK. “Uniting our highly skilled team in a central location at Dublin Airport will facilitate greater collaboration with our customers and partners, supporting the growth and success of our robust Irish supply-chain and academic partnerships.”

Boeing has a long history of partnering with Irish airlines dating back to 1960, when Aer Lingus took delivery of its first Boeing 720 to support its route expansion to New York and Boston. Since then, Boeing has delivered more than 1,450 commercial airplanes to Irish operators and lessors, with local suppliers playing a key role in a variety of Boeing programs, including Dublin-based Botany Weaving Mill who produce carpets for all of Boeing’s commercial airplane programs.
