Boeing has been in the UK for 80 years. From the first transatlantic mail service in a 314 Yankee Clipper, to nearly 400 Boeing aeroplanes with 12 airlines.
Boeing employees are based at 65 locations in the UK and Ireland employing 2,000+ people.
We’ve recently invested £88 million in a new aircraft maintenance hangar at Gatwick Airport, as well as a new simulator facility nearby – the largest training campus outside of the US.
Soon, P-8A maritime patrol aircraft will join the existing fleets of Boeing aircraft with the UK Armed Forces: Chinook, Apache, ScanEagle & Globemaster C-17.
We’ve reached over 30,000 young people through our UK community projects in the last 10 years and continue to invest in STEM-focused learning & resource programmes for schools, as well as university partnerships.
In 2018, our 80th year in the UK, we opened our first European manufacturing site in Sheffield. The factory makes commercial aircraft components for the 737 and 767.
