Boeing appoints Claire MacAleese Communications Director for UK & Ireland
London, June 28, 2018 - Boeing has named Claire MacAleese as Communications Director for UK & Ireland. In this role, she will be responsible for communications across UK and Ireland and leading communications partnerships with customers, employees, suppliers and key stakeholders. She will be based in London.
MacAleese brings extensive experience in communications and public affairs in business and government. She joins Boeing from Bechtel Corporation, where she was the global communications and corporate affairs lead for the company’s infrastructure business. Previously she led a PR agency specialising in infrastructure and industrial campaigns. Earlier in her career, she was Special Advisor to two Secretaries of State for Transport and led external relations for AgustaWestland.
This year Boeing celebrates 80 years of partnership with British customers, suppliers, its Armed Forces and the air transport industry. Today, the UK remains a critically important market, supplier base and a source of some of the world’s most innovative technology partners. Boeing’s expenditure with the UK aerospace industry in 2016 was £2.1 billion and the company employs 2,200 people at numerous sites. It also supports an estimated 16,500 jobs in the UK supply chain and actively supports skills, facilitates exports and generates intellectual property.
