Boeing UK launched its new ’Together We Fly Higher’ campaign in the summer of 2009. The campaign features a range of locations that typify Boeing’s relationship with the United Kingdom. Rather than focusing on the specific partner contributions to Boeing through programmes or technologies, the campaign looks at the range of ways that Boeing has an enduring impact in the UK.

The first advert featured the Boeing Commercial Airplanes business and the specific contribution of British industry to the development of the 787 Dreamliner. When a Dreamliner equipped with Rolls-Royce powered engines takes to the sky around 25% of the value of the aircraft will come from the UK. With partners from all over the UK including GKN, Cobham, Messier-Dowty, Thales UK, QinetiQ and GE Aviation contributing advanced technologies, it is expected that over the lifetime of the 787 programme the value to the British economy will be worth several billion pounds.
