IPECO Group of Southend-on-Sea is to provide all flight deck seats for the 787 Dreamliner. The Group supplies flight deck seats to almost every airline worldwide, ensuring maximum comfort for pilots. The flight deck seats, of which there will be three designs for pilots, co-pilots and crew, must be highly adjustable, and will be put through a programme of stringent testing to make certain that they meet industry safety requirements, and those of the pilots who will ultimately be using them.

The Southend company has been working closely with Boeing styling consultants during the preliminary design review stages, ensuring the seats meet their technical, as well as visual requirements.
